Early work 每 Stoneware for functional pottery.
Later work 每 Earthenware for experimental and creative work.
About the Artist: Tiah
Chang started his ceramic classes when he saw glossy and colorful
functional pottery that can be handmade. Later he became addicted
to the wonderful feeling of creating by using clay. Doing functional
pottery is the way for him to learn about pottery and discover the
beauty of it. After a few years of learning, he started to work
and experiment with different clays. The different characteristics,
colors and textures of different clays are what fascinate him.
He feels that he is just touching the tip of the ice-berg. There
are so many areas for him to explore and he is always
so excited with the creation of every work.
Training and Experience:
1999每2002 Ceramic classes at Outram Park Community Center.
2002每2006 Ceramic classes at Tanjong Pagar Community Club.
2004每2005 Nanyang Academy of Fine Art Ceramic Part time course.
Member of Tanjong Pagar Pottery club since 2002.
